About
Founded in 2025, Wolfram Chemical and Manufacturing Corporation is a U.S. industrial company developing domestic refining infrastructure focused on converting American light sweet crude into finished fuels.
Our lead project is a proposed ~500,000 barrel-per-day greenfield refinery in the Midland, Texas area, configured specifically for Permian Basin light sweet crude. Phase 1 is fuels-first — gasoline (RBOB), jet (Jet A-1), and diesel (ULSD) — with the option for later petrochemical expansion. Process, inputs, and engineering targets are on the Project page.
Where we are
The project is at FEL-1. We are raising seed capital to stand up a small core team of experienced operators and technical support, harden the development package, and prepare for broader engagement with EPCs and project stakeholders.
This is founder-led work. The emphasis is on a clear configuration, conservative engineering assumptions, and a development path that can stand up to operators, capital, and counterparties who have built energy projects at scale.
Our approach
Wolfram Chemical emphasizes execution over experimentation. The design uses commercially proven process technologies, a phased build, and parallel equipment trains to improve on-stream factor and reduce the impact of turnarounds.
Midland was selected for feedstock access, an established petroleum workforce and service base, regional logistics, and lower hurricane exposure than many Gulf Coast refining sites.
Long-term focus
The immediate job is to develop a bankable fuels refinery on domestic light crude. Over time, the same site, utilities, and operating organization can support petrochemical integration if the economics and configuration justify it.
Each decision is made with a long-term ownership mindset: operability, maintainability, and regulatory durability ahead of complexity for its own sake.
